3D printed Objects for Costumes

From steering wheels, and side mirrors, to jet engines and Mr. Fusions, here is a collection of 3D printer files we have created for some of our past wheelchair costumes that might be useful for upcoming costumes as well.

3D Printed items that can be the finishing touches

Sometimes you can’t find the right part for what the costume requires. That’s where 3D Printing comes to the rescue and we have designed and built many parts that can be used for so many different costumes.

Engine Blades

These engine blades were used with our Mandalorian wheelchair costumes. They were set inside the engines on our Razor Crest. Scale to the size you need them. This is the way.

Engine Case

These custom build engine blades were designed for a "Top Gun" fighter jet engine in the back, but can also be used for just about any engine you'd like. They can easily be scaled to whatever size you need too.Enjoy the power.

We knew we needed a generic Steering Wheel to use on many costumes. This steering wheel comes in 2 parts, a decorative top with our embossed icon in the center, and a bottom that attaches to the PVC pipe. Download the back of the steering wheel in addition to the front here.

Steering Wheel Back

Many times, we have found the need to add a steering wheel to our costumes. This 3D printed steering wheel back can slide onto the end of a 3/4" PVC pipe. If you don't attach it with screws, the child can easily turn it back and forth. (Note: After glueing it together, we recommend wrapping the wheel with Electrical Tape in any color that works with the costume. This make it smoother for the child to grip.)

Side Mirrors

These generic side mirrors slide inside a 3/4" PVC pipe. Then use screws to lock it in place. After painting it the color you need, use a reflective surface to make the mirror. Use a real piece of mirror, or we've used silver reflective vinyl for a Cricut.

PVC Stand

This piece was created with the sole purpose to hold up a costume while working on it when it wasn't on the wheelchair. However, after using it, we realized it could be used for so much more.We added more screw holes to it and made it a versatile attachment piece.

Wheel Caps

Mag Wheels - 2 Parts
These wheel caps allow for a wheelcover to go over the back wheels of a stroller type wheelchair or a manual wheelchair with mag wheels. The graphics for those wheels can then stay upright at all times by using ball bearings and weights at the bottom of the design.
